Choosing an Agent

When purchasing a short sale a buyer or investor must be very careful in many areas of the process. The first and foremost area of diligence must be in selecting the proper Broker that has a proven track record and knows the entire short sale process.

It is important to identify a good property and a safe investment; it is also important to determine if the listing agent (if we are not the listing agent) has the knowledge/experience to make the deal work. If we determine the other agent is lacking in any area of expertise we will ask to take over the process on their behalf. If they refuse it will be our advice to move on to another property and forego the inevitable frustration of waiting a long time for nothing.
